Pūpūkea - Girls' Weekend

This weekend was the long awaited Pūpūkea girls weekend! We (9 of us) "won" the weekend at a Pow Wow Hawaii Art event back in October. Basically, this creative, inspiring home was opened up to us. Personal chefs, a Masseuse, a hair stylist, yoga instructor, and a  myofascial therapist was brought in for us.

A great loss

Shortly after returning from our giddy trip to Kansas, we had to return for a grief filled visit. My uncle J passed away at age 53. Below is my FB post honoring my Uncle.
RIP to he manliest man I know, who was never a little boy, fighting fires, the creator behind my solid swing of the bat, and of course named his Son Thor :)

Can't Stop Singing

I usually have a good time when I go "home" and my test have concluded that 4 days is the perfect duration. The highlight of this trip was taking the nephews to Sesame Street Live - Can't Stop Singing. I had so much fun with my little guys!

We also got to do some volunteer work in honor of MLK day at Harvesters food pantry and got our .15 seconds of fame on the Kansas City evening news.

All round Great trip! Love my Fam!

NYE roaring 20's

The theme for NYE 2012 was the roaring 20's. C and the MIL managed to find me an authentic 1920's hat. The night was pretty calm. We spent way more $$ than we should have, but at least we were with good friends.
